Digital Transformation & Technology Consulting

Discovery workshops, architecture assessments, and roadmaps that produce a decision you can act on - not a deck that gets filed.

The problem

The expensive mistakes are made before anyone writes code

Choosing to build what should have been bought. Committing to an architecture that cannot support the business model. Starting a transformation program without agreement on what it is for. These decisions are cheap to change on paper and ruinous to change in production.

Yet they are often made under pressure, with incomplete information, by people who will not be the ones living with the consequences. What is missing is usually not intelligence - it is a structured look at the options and an honest assessment of what the organization can realistically absorb.

Our approach

A short, intense engagement that ends in a decision

We run time-boxed discovery: workshops with the people who hold the constraints, a technical review of what exists, and direct conversations with the users the system is meant to serve. Two to four weeks, with a defined end.

The output is a document your team can act on without us: the recommended direction, the alternatives considered and why they were rejected, a sequenced roadmap with effort bands, the risks that could derail it, and what would have to be true for the recommendation to change.

We state plainly when the answer is to buy rather than build, to fix rather than replace, or to do nothing yet. A consulting engagement that ends in us not selling a build is a successful one - and it is the main reason clients come back.

Capabilities

What this service covers

Individual capabilities are scoped per engagement - this is the range we work across, not a list every project includes.
  • Technical discovery workshops
  • Product strategy and roadmaps
  • Architecture assessments
  • Digital transformation planning
  • CRM and ERP integration strategy
  • Legacy system assessment
  • Technology stack selection
  • Development planning and technical audits

Deliverables

What you actually receive

Illustrative artifacts from a typical engagement. The exact set is agreed during discovery and written into the statement of work.
  1. 01

    Discovery findings

What we learned from your team, your users, and your systems - including the problems that differ from the brief.

  2. 02

    Recommendation with alternatives

The proposed direction plus the options we rejected and the reasoning, so you can disagree with the logic rather than just the conclusion.

  3. 03

    Sequenced roadmap

Phases with effort bands, dependencies, and the decision points where the plan should be re-examined.

  4. 04

    Architecture assessment

A review of the current system against where the business is heading, with the specific constraints that will bite first.

  5. 05

    Risk register

What could derail delivery, how likely it is, and what would reduce it - written for an executive audience.

Engagement

How a project in this area runs

Tailored to this service rather than a generic four-box process diagram.
  1. 01

    Frame the question

Agree precisely what decision this engagement must support, and what evidence would settle it.

  2. 02

    Investigate

Stakeholder workshops, technical review of the existing system, user conversations, and cost analysis.

  3. 03

    Test options

Shortlist directions, pressure-test them against your real constraints, and prototype anything genuinely uncertain.

  4. 04

    Recommend and hand over

A written recommendation, roadmap, and risk register - presented to the people who will decide, then owned by them.

Technology

Options we support for this work

Chosen per project against your team's existing skills and what you will maintain afterward - not a requirement list.

Questions

What clients ask about Technology Consulting

Is this just a sales process for a build?

No, and we price it as standalone work precisely so the incentive is clean. A meaningful share of our consulting engagements conclude that the client should buy an existing product, fix what they have, or wait. If we recommend a build, you are free to take the roadmap to any vendor.

How long does an engagement take?

Typically two to four weeks of elapsed time. Longer than that and the findings start ageing faster than they accumulate; shorter and we are reacting to the brief rather than testing it.

Who needs to be involved from our side?

Whoever holds the constraints: the executive sponsor, the people who operate the current process, and someone technical who knows the system's history. Four to eight people across a handful of sessions is usually right.

What if we disagree with the recommendation?

That is a useful outcome. Because we document the alternatives and the reasoning, you can identify exactly which assumption you reject - and that disagreement usually surfaces a constraint nobody had stated. We revise rather than defend.
