Mobile App Development

iOS, Android, and cross-platform apps that respect platform conventions, survive poor connectivity, and get through store review without drama.

The problem

Mobile punishes assumptions that web forgives

On the web you can ship a fix in minutes. On mobile, a bad release sits in review for days while every affected user keeps the broken version. Connectivity drops mid-action, the operating system reclaims memory without asking, and store policy rejects things your specification never mentioned.

Teams also underestimate the long tail: push notification infrastructure, deep links that survive a cold start, offline state that resolves conflicts sensibly, and two platform release processes that both need owners.

Our approach

Design for interruption, then build for the platform

We decide native versus cross-platform on evidence rather than preference. If the app is primarily forms, lists, and content, a single React Native or Flutter codebase is usually the honest answer. If it leans on camera pipelines, background processing, or platform-specific hardware, native is worth the duplication - and we will say which applies to you.

Offline behavior and error states are specified at design time, not retrofitted. Every action that can fail gets a defined outcome: queued, retried, or surfaced to the user with something useful to do about it.

We treat the store submission as part of engineering. Privacy manifests, permission rationales, data-collection disclosures, and review notes are prepared alongside the build, which is what turns a two-week rejection loop into a routine release.

Capabilities

What this service covers

Individual capabilities are scoped per engagement - this is the range we work across, not a list every project includes.
  • iOS application development
  • Android application development
  • Cross-platform mobile applications
  • React Native and Flutter development
  • Mobile MVPs and prototypes
  • Backend and API integration
  • Offline-first and sync architecture
  • App modernization and maintenance

Deliverables

What you actually receive

Illustrative artifacts from a typical engagement. The exact set is agreed during discovery and written into the statement of work.
  1. 01

    Platform recommendation

A written native-versus-cross-platform decision with the trade-offs that drove it, costed both ways.

  2. 02

    Interactive prototype

The core flows running on a real device before full engineering begins, so navigation problems surface early.

  3. 03

    Apps on both stores

Built, signed, submitted, and shipped - with the release pipeline and signing credentials handed to you.

  4. 04

    Offline and error specification

A defined behavior for every failure path, including sync conflict resolution.

  5. 05

    Release pipeline

Automated builds, internal distribution for testers, crash reporting, and staged rollout configuration.

Engagement

How a project in this area runs

Tailored to this service rather than a generic four-box process diagram.
  1. 01

    Platform and scope decision

Device targets, offline requirements, hardware needs, and the resulting native-or-cross-platform recommendation.

  2. 02

    Prototype on device

Core navigation and the two or three flows that carry the product, tested in hand rather than in a browser.

  3. 03

    Build and instrument

Full implementation with crash reporting, analytics, and internal test builds distributed from the first sprint.

  4. 04

    Submit and roll out

Store assets, privacy disclosures, review notes, staged rollout, and monitoring of the first real-world cohort.

Questions

What clients ask about Mobile Apps

React Native or native?

React Native or Flutter for apps built mostly from forms, lists, content, and standard navigation - which is most business apps, and one codebase roughly halves the work. Native when the product depends on camera pipelines, heavy background processing, complex gestures, or new OS features on day one. We make the call with you during scoping and show the cost of each.

Do we need an app at all?

Frequently not. If your use case does not need push notifications, offline operation, or device hardware, a well-built responsive web application reaches users without a download and ships fixes the same day. We would rather tell you that during scoping than build something that struggles to earn installs.

Who owns the store accounts?

You do. The Apple and Google developer accounts should be registered to your organization, with us added as members. That way your app, reviews, and users are never hostage to a vendor relationship.

What about ongoing maintenance?

Mobile needs it more than web: operating systems ship breaking changes annually and stores raise SDK requirements on a schedule. We can hold a maintenance retainer or train your team to own it, but either way the requirement should be planned and budgeted rather than discovered.
